I’ve never belonged to a political party and I have absolutely no desire to. I’ve grown up in one of the most liberal towns in America, noted for its track and field history, hippies and marijuana. On the other hand, I’m also an entrepreneur. Given that background, I have an eclectic mix of beliefs that no political or social group provide any real representation for.

‘Economy Twist’ will illuminate the game people play to further their power and wealth; made possible by economic apathy from the masses.

So what was the Boston Tea Party about? Well, of course it was a tax protest that foreshadowed the glorious American Revolution, which pitted the freedom loving (and slave owning) Americans, against the ruthless and tyrannical British Empire (who we’d later become BFF’s with). Now I hate to take your 5th grade history textbook to task, but no, the Boston Tea Party was not an early call to independence. It wasn’t even a tax protest. It was in many ways, of all things, a tax-cut protest.

The economics of the Florida Marlins is truly astounding. The Marlins don’t just win; they win on thrift.

An intriguing question comes to mind: why do so many people, hate math so much? We can rattle off some of those reasons: they’re not good at it; they don’t have a numbers mind; they’re more of a musical person (genius of rhythm); and many more. There are plenty of acceptable reasons not to be proficient in math. Strangely, in our society, dismissing math as a skill one should learn, is tolerated. In fact, it’s fashionable.

…from what I have gathered, our current president believes we need to change a few things. Well, I agree with him. I thought President Bush was a disaster. Unfortunately, though, other than the ridiculous hero worship and cult of personality that Obama’s got going, it really doesn’t seem like much of anything is changing.

With a failed dollar we’d have far more church-going citizens eager to stockpile communion crackers. And for the altruistic of the local tribes, the communion crackers might end up back in the offering basket.

We fell right into our enemy’s plan. We executed it to a “T”. Osama Bin Laden knew very well he couldn’t defeat the United States militarily. What he did know was that he could get us stuck in the Middle East, throwing money away fighting endless insurgencies.

While I kind of like Glenn Beck, he does go off the deep end from time to time. And this is simply Stephen Colbert at his absolute best. So how bad can the economy get? Well, here’s your answer:

Information is a beacon, a cudgel, an olive branch, a deterrent, depending on who wields it and how. Information is so powerful that the assumption of information, even if the information does not actually exist, can have a sobering effect.

Credit, please stop masquerading as capital. Real capital comes from savings. A person or a government lives within their means, pays their expenses, burns through some money just for fun, and has some cash left over. The remaining sums are called savings. Savings then can be invested, stuffed in a mattress, or used as canvases to turn Andrew Jackson’s sideburns into a chin strap beard. Meet capital.
